UFO high bay light fixtures are designed for ceilings from 15 to 40 feet. The exact height depends on the fixture's lumen output and beam angle. As a general rule:

15-20 ft ceilings: 100W-150W
20-30 ft ceilings: 200W-240W
30+ ft ceilings: 300W+

Many UFO LED lights are "damp rated" or "wet rated" (IP65+), meaning they are fully sealed against dust and moisture. This makes them an excellent choice for barns, car washes, and other demanding environments.

Yes, most of our UFO high bay lights are 0-10V dimmable. This allows you to adjust the brightness to save energy and match your facility's needs. This feature requires a compatible 0-10V low-voltage dimmer switch.

The most common installation method is suspension mounting. The fixture typically comes with a secure eye hook or ring that you can use to hang it from the ceiling using a chain or cable. Some models also have an optional U-bracket for surface mounting to a wall or ceiling.

The beam angle determines how wide or focused the light spread is. Most UFO high bays come with a standard 120° angle, which is perfect for general lighting in open areas. However, for ceilings over 20 feet, using a 60° or 90° lens can help "push" the light directly to the floor rather than wasting it on the upper walls.

Yes. Many UFO models are compatible with optional polycarbonate or aluminum reflectors. These accessories help reduce glare and provide a more traditional "high bay" look. Acrylic reflectors are especially popular in retail stores and gyms because they allow a small amount of "up-light" to illuminate the ceiling, making the space feel larger and more inviting.

Absolutely. For commercial safety compliance, you can equip UFO fixtures with an emergency battery backup driver. These are typically mounted on top of the fixture or nearby and provide at least 90 minutes of light at a reduced output during a power failure to ensure safe occupant egress.

5000K (Daylight) is the industry standard for manufacturing and warehouses because it is a crisp, alert light that improves focus and detail visibility. 4000K (Cool White) is slightly warmer and is often preferred in retail showrooms, auto dealerships, or gyms where you want a bright environment that feels a bit more natural and less "clinical."

This depends entirely on your building's electrical infrastructure. Most commercial facilities use 120V or 277V, which are covered by our standard "Universal Voltage" drivers. However, heavy industrial sites often use 347V or 480V circuits to reduce amperage. You must verify your circuit voltage before ordering, as a standard 277V driver will be damaged if connected to a 480V line.
