Collection: Pier Mount Adapters

A pier mount base is a sturdy, anchored structure designed to support the weight and withstand the environmental conditions that your outdoor lighting fixtures will face. It typically consists of a base plate or flange that is securely attached to a concrete or paved surface, with a vertical pipe or stem extending upwards to which the lighting fixture is mounted.

Different types of pier mount bases

As an experienced lighting professional, I understand that not all pier mount bases are created equal. There are several types available, each designed to cater to specific requirements and installation environments. Here are some of the most common types:

Concrete Pier Mount Bases: These bases are designed to be anchored directly into a concrete surface, such as a patio, driveway, or walkway. They typically feature a base plate with multiple anchor bolts or a threaded stem that is embedded into the concrete during the pouring process.

Surface Mount Bases: As the name suggests, these bases are mounted on top of an existing surface, such as a deck or paved area. They often feature a weighted base or a flange that can be secured to the surface using lag bolts or other fasteners.

Ground-Buried Bases: These bases are designed to be installed directly into the ground, making them a popular choice for landscaping and garden lighting applications. They typically feature a longer stem or pipe that is buried underground, with the base plate or flange at ground level.

Adjustable Bases: Some pier mount bases offer adjustable features, such as swiveling or tilting mechanisms, allowing you to fine-tune the angle and orientation of your lighting fixtures for optimal coverage and aesthetics.

Decorative Bases: While primarily functional, some pier mount bases are designed with aesthetic appeal in mind. These bases may feature decorative elements, such as scrollwork or architectural details, to complement the overall design of your outdoor space.
