Some models support surface mounting with a compatible frame or kit. Confirm that the fixture and accessories are approved for the mounting surface and required clearances.

A 1x4 troffer requires a compatible opening and suitable support rather than simply occupying an unmodified 2x4 opening. A ceiling installer should confirm whether approved grid components can create the required opening while meeting the ceiling system’s installation requirements.

Many models support dimming, but the control method varies by fixture and driver. Check the specified dimming system and compatible controls rather than assuming every model uses 0–10V dimming.

Fixture quantity depends on room dimensions, ceiling height, light output, distribution, and the tasks performed. Use a lighting layout or photometric calculation to evaluate spacing and illumination rather than relying on fixture size alone.

Choose a color temperature suited to the tasks and surrounding lighting. Selectable-CCT fixtures provide adjustment options, but available settings vary by product.

Some models support suspension with compatible cables or mounting accessories. Check the approved suspension method, attachment points, and electrical connection requirements before planning a pendant installation.

Some fixtures include emergency battery backup or support a compatible emergency driver. Confirm the approved components, emergency light output, and operating duration for the exact model.

Use only fixtures whose documented location ratings cover the installation environment. A narrow housing or ceiling-mounting method does not establish moisture protection.
