Matthews Diane Directional Ceiling Fan, DI Family

Bring targeted circulation to small or awkward spaces with Diane's directional fan head and 90-degree forward and reverse sweeping oscillation. An AC motor powers either 16 in solid wood blades or 13 in metal blades with a decorative cage. Choose Textured Bronze, Polished Chrome or Matte Black bodies, paired with Mahogany Tone wood blades or matching metal blades.

Construction & Design

Cast aluminum and heavy stamped steel construction frame the directional head. The fan weighs 12 lb and has a 6 in canopy diameter. Mahogany Tone solid wood blades span 16 in; matching metal blades span 13 in and are supplied in the decorative-cage configuration. The specification table lists overall drop as 12 in plus downrod length for wood and 14 in plus downrod length for metal.

Light Output & Performance

Diane is a non-lighted directional fan; no light kit is included. Wood configurations deliver up to 2,152 CFM and run at 865 to 1,325 RPM. Metal configurations deliver up to 1,345 CFM and run at 900 to 1,377 RPM. Select the blade style for its appearance and its specific airflow performance.

Electrical & Installation

The family sheet lists 110 or 220 V; the supplied configuration must match the installation voltage. Standard equipment includes a 10 in downrod and a vaulted ceiling canopy for slopes up to 29 degrees. Downrods are 1 in in diameter, field-cuttable and non-threaded, with 5, 10, 20, 30, 48 and 72 in lengths listed.

Suggested Downrod by Ceiling Height

• 10 ft or less ceiling → 5 in downrod; manufacturer advises safety cages if applicable.
• 10 to 12 ft ceiling → 10 in downrod, included.
• 13 ft ceiling → 20 in downrod.
• 14 ft ceiling → 30 in downrod.
• 15 ft ceiling → 48 in downrod.
• 16 ft or higher ceiling → 72 in downrod.
