The LEDVANCE Sylvania STAIR1A/S45UNVD8SC7/48S/WH/US is a commercial 4ft UltraLED Ultrasonic Stairwell Luminaire engineered to deliver up to 5,445 lumens with field-adjustable 30W/35W/45W power settings (multi-wattage selectable driver, field-adjustable lumen output, variable power settings) and switchable 3500K/4000K/5000K color temperatures (field-adjustable CCT, color temperature selectable, tunable white, switchable Kelvin). Operating on 120–277V electrical systems with 0–10V continuous dimming down to 10%, this luminaire provides an energy-efficient replacement for legacy 2x32W and 2x54W fluorescent fixtures. Built with a cULus Damp Location rating, it is qualified for commercial utility rebates under DLC Premium standards and features an integrated high-resolution ultrasonic bilevel motion sensor for automated stairwell and hallway occupancy control.

The UltraLED Ultrasonic Stairwell luminaire features a factory-installed ultrasonic bilevel motion sensor for high-resolution motion detection in enclosed stairwells and corridors:
- 0–10V Continuous Dimming (Standard): Dims smoothly down to 10% on standard 0–10V low-voltage control circuits.
- Trimpot #1 (Detection Range & Sensitivity): Left trimpot adjusts motion detection sensitivity across three settings: low, medium, and high.
- Trimpot #2 (Time Delay): Right trimpot sets the hold time that the fixture remains at 100% output after motion stops to 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 20 minutes.
- DIP Switches (Bilevel Dimming Level): Dual DIP switches configure the standby dimming level after the time delay expires to Off (Off/Off), 10% (Off/On), 25% (On/Off), or 50% (On/On) until motion is detected again.
- Integrated Test Mode Button: Sets the time delay to 5 seconds and runs for 5 minutes (indicated by 2 LED flashes at start and 3 LED flashes upon completion) to verify sensitivity and dimming levels. Upon initial power-up, the sensor turns on to 100% and dims to Off after 20 seconds before entering programmed operation.
