The Satco|Nuvo Dual T8 Lamp Ready Strip Fixture is a commercial-grade, empty-body fixture channel engineered specifically for Type B ballast bypass direct-wire LED tube installations. Available in 2ft (65-910), 3ft (65-911), and 4ft (65-912) lengths, all models feature pre-wired G13 medium bi-pin tombstone sockets, a high-reflectance white steel housing, and a universal 120-347V input. No ballast required — simply wire directly to line voltage and install your Type B T8 LED tubes. All models are cETLus listed, damp location rated, and California Title 20 exempt. Surface and suspension mounting are both supported. Optional add-on reflectors and wire guards (sold separately) are available for each length. Lamps are not included.

Type B Ballast Bypass — What It Means

Type B (ballast bypass) fixtures are wired directly to line voltage — the ballast is completely removed from the circuit. This eliminates the most common failure point in fluorescent retrofits and allows the LED tube to operate at full efficiency without ballast compatibility concerns. These fixtures are pre-wired at the factory for single-end or double-end direct-wire connection — refer to the included wiring guide and the installed lamp’s instructions for the correct wiring method for your specific Type B LED tubes.

Performance & Light Output

As an empty-body fixture channel, light output, color temperature, and beam distribution are determined entirely by the Type B T8 LED tubes installed. The high-reflectance white steel housing maximizes downward light projection from the installed lamps. Optional add-on reflectors (sold separately) further enhance directional output and reduce spill light for task-focused applications.

Electrical

All three models accept a universal 120-347V AC input, completely eliminating the need for a ballast. The fixture is pre-wired at the factory with G13 bi-pin tombstone sockets ready for Type B direct-wire LED tube installation. Refer to the included wiring guide for correct line-voltage connection. No dimming or controls are built into the fixture — dimming capability depends on the installed LED tubes and any compatible dimmer on the circuit.

Construction & Durability

The industrial-grade steel housing is finished in high-reflectance white powder coat for clean integration into commercial ceilings. Multiple wiring knockouts on the sides and back panel accommodate various conduit and surface-mount wiring configurations. The damp location rating permits installation in utility areas with moderate ambient moisture. All models are cETLus listed and California Title 20 exempt.

Installation & Mounting

All models support surface mounting directly to commercial ceilings via the back-panel knockouts, and suspension mounting via an optional wire kit. The pre-wired G13 tombstone sockets accept Type B LED tubes — insert and rotate to lock. Refer to the included wiring guide for direct-wire connection instructions.
