The RAB SUMO PIR family brings integrated LED surface-mount lighting together with a PIR motion sensor and photocell. Choose SUMO-R-5/PIR, SUMO-R-7/PIR or SUMO-R-9/PIR for the size and output suited to your installation. Smooth white round bodies and frosted diffusers provide an understated ceiling appearance, while adjustable sensor modes automate nighttime illumination.

Construction & Design
Each model combines a smooth white plastic enclosure with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser that spreads light evenly. Round sizes are 5.5, 7 and 9 in, with respective sheet-listed weights of 0.5, 0.7 and 1.1 lb. Select the size that fits the mounting location and required output rather than treating the models as identical.
Light Output & Performance
SUMO-R-5/PIR delivers 850 nominal lumens at 10W; SUMO-R-7/PIR delivers 1,150 nominal lumens at 14W; SUMO-R-9/PIR delivers 1,500 nominal lumens at 18W. All three offer five selectable CCTs from 2700K to 5000K and 90 CRI, with a default setting of 3000K. Integrated LEDs provide general illumination with a 110-degree beam and a rated 50,000-hour L70 life.
Electrical & Installation
The family uses surface mounting on a compatible junction box and operates on 120V at 60Hz. All three models are non-dimmable; sensor-controlled bi-level operation does not provide external dimmer compatibility. Observe the specified 6.5 ft maximum sensor mounting height, with a 13 ft detection diameter at that height. Use indoors in dry or damp environments; these fixtures are non-IC and non-airtight.
Auto mode: The light remains off during the day and without motion at night. Nighttime motion activates 100% brightness, followed by shutoff after the selected hold time expires.
Bi-Level mode: Nighttime motion activates 100% brightness. After the selected hold time expires, output drops to 50% for another selected hold-time interval before turning off. The light remains off during the day.
Off mode: Motion detection is disabled. Select a 30-second, 5-minute or 10-minute hold time; Auto mode and 30 seconds are the defaults.
The individual sheets identify California Title 24 Part 6 conformity capability and TAA compliance with Cambodia as the country of manufacture.
