The RAB WFRETRO family of wafer retrofit downlights installs directly into existing recessed housings using an included E26 Edison socket adapter — no rewiring required. Available in 4 in and 6 in sizes with baffle or smooth trim styles, these fixtures replace 60W (4 in) or 100W (6 in) incandescent lamps with field-selectable wattage and CCT, and full dimming capability down to 10%.

Construction & Aesthetics
All WFRETRO models feature a white finish with a frosted polycarbonate lens that distributes light evenly and smoothly for general lighting applications. Choose baffle trim for reduced glare or smooth trim for a clean, low-profile appearance. The plastic and metal enclosure is air-tight certified per ASTM E283, ensuring energy efficiency and code compliance.
Electrical & Installation
Installation is tool-free using the included E26 Edison socket adapter — simply screw into the existing recessed socket and snap into the housing. The 4 in models are compatible with standard 4 in or 5/6 in housings; the 6 in models are compatible with standard 5/6 in housings. For new construction or remodel applications, pair with the appropriate IC-rated housing (NDCANIC4R or RDCANIC4R for 4 in; NDCANIC6R or RDCANIC6R for 6 in). Emergency backup power available via DRI-21-EMGR-DC-D10. Operates at 120V on compatible TRIAC/ELV dimming systems.
Light Output & Performance
The WFRETRO family delivers up to 926 lumens (4 in) and 1,430 lumens (6 in) at peak wattage and 3500K CCT. Color consistency is maintained within a 4-step MacAdam Ellipse with less than 200K CCT shift over 5 years. All models are rated for 50,000 hours per IES LM-70 testing.
