The RAB WFRETRO6 is a 6-inch smooth trim wafer retrofit downlight that installs directly into existing recessed housings using an E26 Edison socket adapter — no rewiring required. Delivering up to 1,430 lumens at 15W with field-selectable CCTs from 2700K to 5000K, it replaces a 100W incandescent lamp while offering full dimming capability down to 10%.

The WFRETRO6 features a white smooth trim with a frosted polycarbonate lens that distributes light evenly and smoothly for general lighting applications. The plastic and metal enclosure is air-tight certified per ASTM E283, ensuring energy efficiency and code compliance.
Electrical & Installation
Installation is tool-free using the included E26 Edison socket adapter — simply screw into the existing recessed socket and snap into the housing. Compatible with standard 5/6 in recessed downlight housings. For new construction, pair with NDCANIC6R (6 in new construction IC-rated housing) or RDCANIC6R (6 in remodel IC-rated housing). Emergency backup power available via DRI-21-EMGR-DC-D10. Operates at 120V on compatible TRIAC/ELV dimming systems.

The WFRETRO6 delivers up to 1,430 lumens at 15W with a 101 lm/W efficacy at peak output. The 110-degree beam angle provides wide-area illumination for general ambient lighting. Color consistency maintained within a 4-step MacAdam Ellipse with less than 200K CCT shift over 5 years. Rated for 50,000 hours per IES LM-70 testing.
