The RAB SWISHAIR2X4/E is a 2×4 recessed LED air-return troffer with integrated 90-minute emergency battery backup, designed for commercial T-grid ceilings requiring integrated HVAC return-air functionality and life-safety code compliance. Wattage is field-selectable between 44W (factory default), 35W, and 26W, and CCT is field-selectable between 3500K, 4000K (factory default), and 5000K — both via onboard switch, no tools required. At peak output, the fixture delivers 6,048 lumens at 44W / 4000K with a peak efficacy of 150.8 lm/W at 26W / 4000K. The SWISHAIR2X4/E operates on 120–277V with a 0–10V dimming driver and is UL Listed for dry and damp locations and DLC 5.1 Listed as Ultra-Efficient Premium. Smart & Control Features

The SWISHAIR2X4/E supports 0–10V dimming as standard and is available with factory-installed occupancy sensor configurations (PIR, MVS, or Lightcloud Blue — ordered as separate suffix SKUs). The integrated 90-minute battery backup activates automatically on power failure, maintaining fixture illumination for safe egress. Battery Backup Light Loss Factor: 0.23. Requires an unswitched hot line to maintain charge.

Installation & Mounting

Wiring: An unswitched hot line must be connected to maintain battery charge. Wattage and CCT selections should be confirmed prior to installation. Minimum starting temperature with battery backup: 41°F (5°C).
