The RAB SUMO-R-5/PIR integrated LED surface mount combines compact 5.5 in round white trim with an integrated PIR motion sensor and photocell. Its 850 lumens at 10W provide general illumination, while adjustable motion modes and hold times tailor automatic operation to the space. Five selectable CCTs let you choose a warm or cool tone during installation.

Construction & Design

Smooth white trim surrounds a frosted polycarbonate diffuser that distributes light evenly. The plastic enclosure measures 5.5 in across; the drawing shows 1 in overall depth, a 9/16 in panel thickness and a 4 in inner opening. Listed fixture weight is 0.5 lb.

Light Output & Performance

Integrated LEDs deliver 850 nominal lumens at 10W, with a 110-degree ±10-degree beam for general illumination. Choose 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K via DIP switch; the default is 3000K. 90 CRI and R9 greater than 50 support clear color rendering. Rated life is 50,000 hours at L70.

Electrical & Installation

This fixture is surface mounted on a compatible junction box and operates on 120V at 60Hz. It is non-dimmable; the sensor's built-in bi-level operation is not external dimmer compatibility. For the specified sensor coverage, observe the 6.5 ft maximum mounting height; detection diameter is 13 ft at that height. The fixture is non-IC and non-airtight, with indoor dry/damp suitability identified in the detailed environment section.

Auto mode: The light stays off during the day and while no motion is detected at night. Motion activates 100% brightness; after the selected hold time expires, the light turns off.

Bi-Level mode: Motion at night activates 100% brightness. After the selected hold time, brightness drops to 50% for another selected hold-time interval before turning off. The light remains off during the day.

Off mode: Motion detection is disabled. Hold-time selections are 30 seconds, 5 minutes or 10 minutes.
