The RAB SML4 rectangular surface-mount fixture combines a slim edge-lit design with five selectable color temperatures. Its 45W integrated LED produces 3,300–3,600 lumens with 90 CRI for clear general illumination in utility rooms, hallways and indoor work areas. The white metal housing and smooth trim create a clean ceiling appearance without a hanging drop.

Construction & Design

The white metal enclosure features a rectangular shape and smooth trim in a nominal 0.5 × 4 ft format. Its 15/16 in profile keeps the edge-lit fixture close to the ceiling for a contemporary appearance. Fixture weight is 4.2 lb.

Light Output & Performance

The integrated LED delivers 3,300–3,600 lumens at 45W with 90 CRI and a 110-degree beam. Choose 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K to coordinate with nearby lighting and the room's preferred appearance. Efficacy varies from 73 to 80 lm/W across the settings. Rated life is 50,000 hours at L70, and separate bulbs are not required.

Electrical & Installation

The constant-current driver accepts 120-277V at 50/60Hz. SML4 is designed for surface mounting, with family-listed compatibility for 3 or 4 in junction boxes. The low-profile design avoids the hanging clearance required by pendant and semi-flush fixtures. The family sheet lists IC suitability for direct contact with insulation.

Select the desired CCT using the housing-mounted DIP switch during installation. For dimming, use a control verified on the manufacturer's compatibility list. Use in indoor dry and damp environments as specified on the individual sheet.
