The RAB SEAL4 is a commercial 4ft Vapor Tight field-adjustable linear washdown luminaire engineered to deliver up to 6,800 lumens with field-adjustable 50W/40W/30W power settings and switchable 5000K/4000K/3500K color temperatures. Operating on 120–277V electrical systems with 0–10V (down to 10%) continuous dimming, this luminaire provides an energy-efficient replacement for legacy (3) F32T8 fluorescent fixtures. Built with a UL Listed for wet locations rating, it is qualified for commercial utility rebates under DLC 5.1 Premium standards and features an impact-resistant, IP66-sealed, NEMA 4X, NSF-certified, and IK08-rated polycarbonate washdown enclosure.

Smart & Control Features

The SEAL4 linear washdown vapor tight supports standard wired dimming and optional factory-configured or field-programmable sensing and wireless automation:

• 0–10V Continuous Dimming (Standard): Dims smoothly down to 10% on standard 0–10V DC low-voltage control circuits. Compatible with commercial dimmers and centralized building automation systems (BAS).
• Lightcloud Blue Wireless Mesh (Optional Configuration): Available in Lightcloud Blue-enabled Bluetooth Mesh configurations (/LCBS, /LCBS/MVS) for gateway-free wireless commissioning, dimming, and scheduling via the Lightcloud Blue mobile app.

Compatible occupancy sensor options in the SEAL family include Passive Infrared (/PIR & /LCBS, max 40 ft mounting height, 40 ft detection diameter at 40 ft) and Microwave (/MVS & /LCBS/MVS, max 50 ft mounting height, 50 ft detection diameter at 50 ft), as well as PIR20[B][/LCB] and MVS20[B][/LCB] sensors (20 ft detection diameter mounted at 9 ft, sold separately). Field adjustments for non-Lightcloud sensors require the handheld multi-sensor remote control (catalog # MSR1, sold separately).

Electrical

Powered by a Class 2 constant current driver operating on 120–277V AC at 50/60Hz. Delivers high electrical efficiency with a Power Factor of 99.90% at 120V (96.98% at 277V) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 3.53% at 120V (4.35% at 277V). Integrated 2.5kV surge protection protects internal electronics against transient voltage spikes. Includes pre-wired 0–10V dimming leads and a quick connector for fast wiring.

Emergency Battery Backup: Available in `/E` battery backup configurations (`SEAL4/E`, sold separately) wired for 120–277V to operate the fixture for 90 minutes if power fails (Battery Backup Light Loss Factor: 0.207).

Durability & Impact Protection: Impact-resistant polycarbonate housing with stainless steel door clips, internal cold-rolled steel reflector, and high-temperature silicone gaskets engineered for thermal dissipation. IK08 rated for protection against 5 joules of mechanical impact (equivalent to a 3.75 lbs / 1.7kg mass dropped from 11.8" / 300mm), paired with a NEMA 4X corrosion-resistant enclosure, UL 94 5VA flame classification, and NSF certification for public health and safety food preparation facilities.
