The RAB WHALE2H is a high-output commercial 2ft Vapor Tight linear washdown luminaire engineered to deliver up to 19,460 lumens with field-adjustable 135W/100W/70W power settings and switchable 3500K/4000K/5000K color temperatures. Operating on 120–277V electrical systems with 0–10V (down to 10%) continuous dimming, this luminaire provides industrial-grade lighting for demanding commercial spaces. Built with a UL Listed for wet locations rating, it is qualified for commercial utility rebates under DLC Listed / DLC Premium standards and features an extra-wide, vapor-tight, power and CCT-adjustable washdown enclosure with IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X, and IK09 protection.

Smart & Control Features

The WHALE2H vapor tight supports standard wired dimming and optional factory-configured or field-programmable sensing and wireless automation:

• 0–10V Continuous Dimming (Standard): Dims smoothly down to 10% on standard 0–10V DC low-voltage control circuits. Compatible with commercial dimmers and centralized building automation systems (BAS).
• Lightcloud Blue Wireless Mesh (Optional Configuration): Compatible with RAB Lightcloud Blue Bluetooth mesh network controls for gateway-free wireless dimming, ON/OFF control, color tuning, schedules, and SmartShift via the iOS/Android mobile app.

Compatible sensor options in the WHALE family include Passive Infrared (PIR, max 40 ft mounting height, 40 ft detection diameter) and Microwave (MVS, max 50 ft mounting height, 50 ft detection diameter), as well as PIR20[B][/LCB] and MVS20[B][/LCB] sensors (20 ft detection diameter mounted at 9 ft, sold separately). Field adjustments for non-Lightcloud sensors can be managed using the optional handheld multi-sensor remote control (catalog # MSR1, sold separately).

Powered by a Class 2 constant current driver operating on 120–277V AC at 50/60Hz. Delivers high electrical efficiency with a Power Factor of 99.8% at 120V (94.9% at 277V) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 4.2% at 120V (8.4% at 277V) at 135W/4000K. Integrated Ringwave LN 4kV / LN-GND 6kV surge protection protects internal electronics against transient voltage spikes. Includes pre-wired 0–10V dimming leads.

Emergency Battery Backup: Compatible with emergency battery backup drivers in `/E` factory configurations (`WHALE2H/E`, sold separately) to provide a minimum of 90 minutes of standby illumination during a primary power failure (32°F (0°C) to 140°F (60°C) battery operating range; Light Loss Factor: 0.12 at 135W, 0.16 at 100W, 0.13 at lowest wattage setting).
