The RAB R34 round retrofit downlight series is an economical, CCT-adjustable upgrade for existing recessed can housings. Available in 4 in (7W, 700 lm) and 6 in (10W, 900 lm) sizes, with smooth and baffle trim styles, and three finish options — white, black, and haze cone + white flange. All models feature field-selectable CCT via dip switch (2700K through 5000K), wet rating, TRIAC/ELV dimming to 10%, and California Title 20 compliance. Installs via E26 Edison base adapter into most standard 4 in or 5 in/6 in recessed can housings.

Light Output & Performance
White-finish models provide the highest measured efficacy — up to 101 lm/W (R34-4, 3500K) and 100 lm/W (R34-6, 3500K) — with per-CCT lumen data available on individual product pages. Black and haze white models deliver 700 lm (4 in) and 900 lm (6 in) at a consistent 90–93 lm/W. All models carry a CRI of 90 or greater with R9 ≥50 and MacAdam Ellipse color binning for consistent fixture-to-fixture uniformity. Color temperature is warranted to shift no more than 200K over 5 years.
Electrical & Installation
All R34 models operate at 120V with a constant current driver. White-finish models have PF ≥0.7; black and haze white models have PF ≥0.9. TRIAC/ELV dimmable to 10%. Op temp: -13°F to 104°F (white models) or -4°F to 104°F (black/haze white models). Installs via E26 Edison base into most standard recessed can housings — 4 in models into 4 in cans, 6 in models into 5 in or 6 in cans.
