The RAB ORB6 is a 6 in round trimless canless LED downlight delivering a 180° fully luminous surface with smooth, evenly distributed light — no trim ring, no visible edges. At 13W / 997–1,114 lm (80–90 lm/W), with field-selectable CCT (2700K–5000K), 110° beam angle, Type IC rating, airtight construction, and California Title 24 JA8 compliance. Remote driver/junction box included for flexible, no-housing installation. Wet rated. TAA compliant. 120V only.

Light Output & Performance

The ORB6 delivers 997–1,114 lm at 13W, with efficacy ranging from 80–90 lm/W depending on CCT. The 180° fully luminous surface and frosted polycarbonate lens provide smooth, evenly distributed, glare-free illumination with no visible trim ring. With a CRI of 90, R9 >50, and tight MacAdam Ellipse binning, color quality is consistent across all five CCT settings.

Electrical & Installation

The ORB6 operates at 120V / 60 Hz / 0.12A with a constant current Class 2 driver (PF ≥0.9, THD ≤20%, Flicker ≤30%). TRIAC/ELV dimmable to 10% — see RAB Dimmer Compatibility List. 120V only; 208/240/277V not supported. Installs via steel spring clips through a 6 in ceiling cut-out. Minimum ceiling thickness: 1-1/4 in. Removable from below for service. Remote driver/junction box mounts separately for flexible placement. IC rated (air-permeable insulation only; not for spray foam); airtight per ASTM-E283. Suitable for closet installations per NEC Sec. 410.16.
