The RAB GUS17-8/MVS/E is a commercial 8ft GUS17 LED Wrap engineered to deliver up to 12,721 lumens with field-adjustable 90W/80W/70W power settings and switchable 3500K/4000K/5000K color temperatures. Operating on 120–277V electrical systems with 0–10V continuous dimming down to 10%, this luminaire provides an energy-efficient replacement for legacy multi-lamp T8/T12 linear fluorescent fixtures. Built with a UL Listed damp location rating, it is qualified for commercial utility rebates under DLC 5.1 Listed standards and features a factory-installed microwave motion sensor, integrated emergency battery backup, and durable color-coated steel housing with a polycarbonate wraparound lens.

Smart & Control Features

The GUS17-8/MVS/E is equipped with factory-integrated occupancy sensing and 0–10V dimming controls:

• 0–10V Continuous Dimming (Standard): Dims smoothly down to 10% via a separate 0–10V DC dimming circuit.
• Factory-Installed Microwave Occupancy Sensor (/MVS): 12VDC active microwave motion and daylight sensor (30mA input current, 50/60Hz) rated for mounting heights up to 50 ft with a 50 ft detection diameter at 50 ft and an operating temperature range of -40°F (-20°C) to 140°F (60°C). Factory default settings: Motion Sensitivity High, Brightness 100%, Hold Time 1 minute, Standby to Dim 20%, Standby Time 1 minute, When Vacant Off.
• Lightcloud Blue Wireless Control (Optional Series Platform): The GUS17 family also supports RAB Lightcloud Blue Bluetooth Mesh wireless control configurations for gateway-free mobile app commissioning.

Field sensor settings can be adjusted using the optional handheld Multi-Sensor Remote Control (catalog # MSR1, IP20 — sold separately).

Electrical

Powered by a Class 2, Class P constant current driver operating on 120–277V AC at 50/60Hz. Delivers high electrical efficiency with a Power Factor of 99.4% at 120V (92.0% at 277V) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 3.9% at 120V (11.3% at 277V). Integrated 1 kV differential mode (DM, L/N) and 2 kV common mode (CM, L/N-PE) surge protection protects internal electronics against transient voltage spikes. Includes pre-wired 0–10V dimming leads.

Emergency Battery Backup: Includes a factory-installed emergency battery backup system for standby illumination during primary power outages. Battery Backup Light Loss Factor (LLF) for GUS17-8 is 0.13 at 90W (~1,654 emergency lumens), 0.15 at 80W (~1,633 emergency lumens), and 0.17 at 70W (~1,585 emergency lumens) based on 4000K nominal lumen ratings.
