The RAB CR10-HW is a 10 in round commercial recessed downlight in haze white finish delivering up to 4,500 lumens at 37W with a wide 85° beam angle and 90 CRI. The largest fixture in the CR-HW family, the CR10-HW features field-selectable wattage (24/30/37W) and CCT (2700K–5000K) via integrated dipswitches, with universal 120-277V input and dual dimming compatibility (0-10V and TRIAC/ELV). The spun aluminum enclosure maximizes passive cooling for long-term performance.

Smart & Control Features

The CR10-HW dims to 10% on compatible 0-10V and TRIAC/ELV dimming systems. Wattage and CCT are both field-adjustable via integrated dipswitches — select from 24W, 30W, or 37W and from 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K (default 2700K) at installation. Battery backup sold separately. Compatible emergency driver: DRI-21-EMGR-DC-D10; emergency driver T20.

Construction & Design

The CR10-HW features a spun aluminum enclosure that maximizes passive cooling to ensure long fixture lifespan, with a spun aluminum smooth splay reflector in haze white finish and a polycarbonate light diffuser for even, smooth general illumination. Stainless steel spring action clips allow for quick, tool-free installation into ceiling openings from 1/2 in to 2 in thick. Weight: 1.6 lbs. Accepts interchangeable 10 in color trim overlays in smooth black, brushed nickel, bronze, and haze white (all sold separately).

Light Output & Performance

With efficacy up to 122 lm/W (37W), a 90 CRI, R9 > 50, and a wide 85° beam angle, the CR10-HW delivers broad, powerful commercial illumination for large spaces. Color temperature is warranted to shift no more than 200K over five years (<4-step MacAdam Ellipse binning). Rated lifespan: 50,000 hours L70 per IES LM-70.

Electrical & Installation

Operates on 120-277V with a Constant Current, Class A driver integrated on top of the fixture. Connects to junction box (not included) via MC Whip cable. Dimmable to 10% via 0-10V or TRIAC/ELV systems. Spring action clips support ceiling thicknesses from 1/2 in to 2 in. Suitable for remodel direct mount or retrofit into existing commercial downlight housings. IC rated for direct contact with air-permeable insulation; airtight certified (ASTM E283). Operating temperature: -4°F to 104°F.
