The RAB WFR/PIR family is an edge-lit wafer downlight with an integrated PIR motion sensor and photocell, available in 4 in and 6 in aperture sizes with smooth trim in white. The slim canless design mounts directly to the ceiling — no recessed housing required. CCT is field-selectable between five color temperatures (default 3000K) via integrated dipswitch, with adjustable motion modes (auto/bi-level/off) and hold times for hands-free, energy-efficient operation. Both sizes are IC rated, ENERGY STAR certified, Title 24 JA8 compliant, and UL Listed for wet locations. Non-dimmable.

Sensor Operation
Both WFR/PIR sizes feature an integrated passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a 13 ft detection diameter at 6.5 ft mounting height. Motion mode and hold time are independently adjustable via integrated dipswitches at installation.
- Auto (default): Light stays OFF during the day. At night, turns ON at 100% when motion is detected; turns OFF after hold time expires.
- Bi-Level: Light stays OFF during the day. At night, turns ON at 100% when motion is detected; reduces to 50% after hold time expires, then turns OFF.
- Off: Motion detection disabled.
The integrated photocell activates the sensor below 65-75 lux (dusk) and deactivates it above 75-85 lux (dawn) to prevent daytime triggering.
Construction & Design
Both sizes feature a steel heatsink enclosure with a polyester UV-resistant trim in matte white (fade and scratch resistant) and a frosted polycarbonate lens for even, smooth light distribution. Two tension steel spring clips secure the wafer to ceilings up to 15/16 in thick.
