Overview
6 inch LED dedicated remodel housing for use in insulated ceilings can be in direct contact with thermal insulation. Air-tight construction provides energy savings by reducing the flow of air through the ceiling. The housing is designed for use with all 6 inch LED retrofit luminares.
- 0.040 steel housing adjusts to maximum ceiling thickness from 0.625" to 0.75"
- Plaster frame integrated 15 cubic inch 0.064" thick galvanized steel, with seven 1/2" NPT knockouts, four Romex pryouts, and snap on covers
- IC Insulated ceiling housings are direct contact rated; no minimum clearance is required
- Four high tensions springs secure the housing to an existing sheet rock ceiling
- Accommodates ceiling thickness to 1-1/2" (39mm)
