The Lutron P-PKG1OUT-BL-R is a complete outdoor smart control kit combining the Caséta Wireless Outdoor Smart Plug (PD-15OUT-BL) with a Pico Remote Control. Built to withstand severe weather season after season, the outdoor smart plug is IP65 certified for dirt, dust, moisture, rain, sprinklers, hoses, and snow — with fully encapsulated internal electronics to keep water, humidity, dust, and dirt from ever reaching or degrading the product. Ideal for landscape and string lighting, holiday lights and inflatables, and some motors and pumps.

What's in the Kit

• Caséta Wireless Outdoor Smart Plug (PD-15OUT-BL): Weatherproof outdoor smart plug that controls multiple load types up to 15A lighting, ½ HP motor and pump loads, or 1200 VA (8A) lighting transformer/magnetic ballast loads. Operates at 120 V~ 50/60 Hz. Must be used with a GFCI protected outlet.
• Pico Remote Control (sold as part of kit): Battery-powered remote for direct on/off control from anywhere in the space. No external power or communication wiring required.

• Power Failure Memory: Should power be interrupted, the outdoor smart plug will return to its previously set On or Off state when power is restored.

Pico Remote — Button Functions

• On: Unit will turn the load on.
• Off: Unit will turn the load off.
• Raise: Unit does not respond.
• Lower: Unit does not respond.
• Preset: Unit will go to the on or off state that was set with the preset button.

Wiring & Installation

Plug the outdoor smart plug into a GFCI protected outdoor outlet. Pair the Pico remote directly to the plug for basic on/off control. For app control, scenes, and scheduling, connect the Lutron Smart Bridge or Smart Bridge PRO (sold separately) to your router and use the Lutron app to configure.
