Fanimation Spitfire MAD6721 72 in DC Ceiling Fan Motor

Build a propeller-style fan for large rooms over 400 sq ft with the Spitfire 72 in motor platform. A sensorless DC motor, TR360 remote and included WiFi receiver provide convenient control for indoor and covered outdoor spaces. Select the motor and blade finishes independently. Motor unit only: required B6720-72 blades and the optional light kit are sold separately.

Smart & Control Features

The included TR360 remote and WiFi receiver provide fan speed and on/off control, with fresh air mode. Use the fanSync WiFi app for smartphone control. Optional TW406 wall control is sold separately. Lighting controls require an optional compatible LED kit.

Construction & Design

The steel motor housing measures 8.76 in across; 72 in describes the completed blade sweep, not the motor body. Choose the B6720-72 paulownia blade finish separately. Motor finishes, listing SKUs and optional matching light kits are:

Light Output & Performance

No light kit is included. The finish-matched LK6721BDC kits listed above use an 18W LED with 545–579 lumens, CRI 90 and selectable 3000K, 4000K or 5000K. Fresnel and frosted shades are included with the optional kit. Complete the motor with the required B6720-72 blade set for its 72 in coverage.

Electrical & Installation

Operates on 120V AC. Includes 6 in and 12 in downrods, each 1 in diameter. Standard mounting supports slopes up to 27°; sloped installation of the 72 in configuration requires a 24 in downrod. For slopes above 27° and up to 42°, add the optional SCB1-52 slope ceiling kit. Optional CCK6721 close-to-ceiling kit and CAP6721 decorative cap are sold separately. Keep damp-rated installations protected from direct rain and maintain at least 7 ft from floor to blades.

Suggested Downrod by Ceiling Height

Both 6 in and 12 in downrods are included. Longer lengths and CCK6721 are sold separately. Final mounting selection must maintain at least 7 ft floor-to-blade clearance and adequate ceiling clearance.
