The American Lighting MICRO-DR Series is a compact, Class 2 constant voltage LED electronic transformer designed for indoor lighting applications requiring dimmable, reliable power in an ultra-slim form factor. Available in 12V and 24V DC output at 60W and 96W, each MICRO-DR measures only 0.89 in. tall, making it ideal for installations with minimal depth requirements. Compatible with standard TRIAC (Leading Edge / Forward Phase), MLV, and ELV (Reverse Phase) dimmers, the MICRO-DR Series delivers smooth, flicker-free PWM dimming from 20–100% load. Input is 120V AC; Class 2, Type HL, FCC compliant, and cULus Listed with a damp location rating.

Physical Design & Installation
The MICRO-DR features a micro aluminum housing just 0.89 in. tall, purpose-built for installations where depth is limited — including under-cabinet, cove, millwork, and recessed channel applications. Free air convection cooling eliminates the need for any fan, keeping operation silent. The driver is hardwire only (no integrated junction box). Installation must be performed in accordance with national and local electrical codes by a qualified installer.
Dimming & Controls
The MICRO-DR Series is compatible with standard TRIAC (Leading Edge / Forward Phase), MLV, and ELV (Reverse Phase) dimmers — the same dimmers used with incandescent fixtures. PWM output enables smooth, consistent dimming from 20% to 100% load. A minimum load of 20% is required for proper dimming performance.
