Maxim Lighting provides a one (1) year warranty on standard wall fixtures. However, fixtures with integrated LED components come with an extended five (5) year warranty for residential use (3 years for commercial applications). Many Maxim vanity lights are reversible, meaning they can be installed with the glass shades facing up or down. Installing them down provides better task lighting for grooming and requires less cleaning (as dust doesn't gather inside the glass). Installing them up creates a softer, ambient light that bounces off the ceiling.

Yes, most Maxim LED wall sconces and vanity lights are dimmable. They typically require an ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) or Triac dimmer to operate smoothly. Always check the product specifications to ensure you have the correct dimmer switch for your fixture.

For bathrooms, a Damp Rated fixture is usually sufficient. It is built to withstand humidity and moisture but not direct water contact. If you are installing a sconce inside a shower enclosure or outdoors where it will be hit by rain, you must choose a Wet Rated fixture.

A good rule of thumb is to choose a vanity light that is about 75% of the width of your mirror. For example, if you have a 36-inch wide mirror, a 24 to 28-inch vanity light is ideal. Ensure the fixture does not extend beyond the edges of the mirror.

Absolutely. Maxim wall sconces are excellent for hallways. To prevent them from obstructing the walkway, consider choosing an ADA compliant fixture, which has a slim profile and hugs the wall closely.

Most Maxim LED vanity lights come in a standard 3000K warm white, which is flattering for skin tones and ideal for bathroom mirrors. Some newer models feature color-selectable technology, allowing you to switch between 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K to suit your preference.

Fixtures with integrated LED modules do not require bulbs, as the light source is built-in. For fixtures with standard sockets (E26 or E12), bulbs are typically not included. We recommend using high-CRI LED bulbs for the best color rendering in bathrooms.

In a bathroom, if you are using sconces on either side of a mirror, mount them so the center of the light source is roughly 60 to 65 inches from the floor (eye level). In a hallway, sconces are typically mounted slightly higher, around 66 to 72 inches from the floor.

For metal finishes, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes. For glass shades, you can remove them and wash with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching them to the fixture.
