The Keystone XFit Advantage: Versatile LED Solutions

The Keystone XFit series represents the pinnacle of versatile commercial lighting. Designed specifically for electrical contractors and facility managers who need adaptability, XFit fixtures eliminate the guesswork from lighting upgrades. By consolidating multiple SKUs into single, adjustable units, the XFit line ensures you always have the correct fixture for the application, regardless of the ceiling height or color temperature requirement. This innovation simplifies logistics, reduces stocking requirements, and speeds up installation on the job site.

Keystone PowerSelect and ColorSelect Technology

The core of the Keystone XFit family is the ability to customize the light output in the field.

  • Keystone PowerSelect: This feature allows installers to maximize efficiency or brightness by adjusting the wattage. A simple dip switch on the driver lets you toggle between three distinct power levels (e.g., 45W, 60W, 75W), effectively giving you three fixtures in one.
  • ColorSelect: Matching existing lighting is effortless with ColorSelect. You can switch the color temperature (CCT) between warm, neutral, and cool white (typically 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K) at the time of installation, ensuring the light perfectly suits the environment.

XFit Wall Pack, High Bay, and Area Light Applications

The XFit technology is available across the entire spectrum of commercial fixtures, ensuring a unified approach to your lighting projects.

  • Keystone XFit High Bay: Optimize industrial spaces with round UFO and linear high bays that can adapt to different ceiling heights.
  • XFit Wall Pack: Secure building perimeters with adjustable wall packs that cover traditional, full cutoff, and architectural styles.
  • XFit Area Light: Illuminate parking lots and roadways with high-performance area lights featuring interchangeable mounts and adjustable output.
  • Linear Solutions: From strip lights to vapor tights and panels, XFit linear fixtures bring adjustability to offices, stairwells, and retail aisles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Keystone XFit fixtures come with a warranty?

Yes, Keystone XFit fixtures are typically backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty, covering the driver and LED chips. Some premium models may carry extended warranties. For specific terms and coverage details, please refer to the Keystone Complete Statement of Warranty.

What is Keystone XFit?

XFit is Keystone's line of "Future Fit" fixtures designed for maximum versatility. They primarily feature field-adjustable settings (PowerSelect and ColorSelect) and are engineered to be easy to install, reducing the number of different products distributors and contractors need to stock.

How does PowerSelect work?

PowerSelect is a switch located on the fixture driver or housing. It allows you to select from multiple wattage settings. For example, a single fixture might be capable of running at 100W, 120W, or 150W. You simply slide the switch to the desired power level during installation.

What is the benefit of ColorSelect?

ColorSelect allows you to change the color temperature of the light (e.g., from warm 3000K to cool 5000K) with a switch. This eliminates the risk of ordering the wrong color temperature and allows you to match the light to the customer's preference on-site.

Are XFit fixtures compatible with motion sensors?

Yes. Many Keystone XFit fixtures are "sensor ready" or feature a SmartPort. This allows you to screw in a microwave or PIR sensor (sold separately) to add occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting capabilities instantly.

Can I use XFit fixtures with a dimmer?

Yes, most XFit fixtures come standard with 0-10V dimming drivers. This allows them to be wired to standard 0-10V wall dimmers or connected to commercial lighting control systems.

Are XFit fixtures suitable for outdoor use?

The XFit line includes both indoor and outdoor fixtures. XFit Wall Packs, Area Lights, and Vapor Tights are rated for outdoor use (IP65 or IP66). XFit Panels and Linear High Bays are typically rated for indoor damp locations. Always check the specific spec sheet.

Do I need special tools to adjust the settings?

No. The PowerSelect and ColorSelect switches are designed to be adjusted by hand or with a small screwdriver. No proprietary tools or software are required.

Is the XFit series DLC listed?

Most Keystone XFit fixtures are listed on the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products List (QPL). This means they meet strict energy efficiency standards and often qualify for utility rebates.

Can I control XFit fixtures wirelessly?

Yes. By adding a SmartLoop controller to compatible XFit fixtures, you can integrate them into a wireless Bluetooth mesh network for app-based control, scheduling, and grouping.
