Choose between standard electrical receptacles or Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) receptacles for different rooms in the house. Wall outlets can be used for the interior of the house like bedrooms, living rooms and hallways. GFCI receptacles are ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms patios and outdoor areas. GFCI outlets prevent electrical shock by cutting off power to a circuit when there is a disruption in the amount of current flowing in and out. Tamper resistant receptacles are especially equipped with a shutter mechanism to prevent foreign objects from being inserted into the outlet. Receptacles may also have an LED night light or built-in USB receptacle as a feature.
