PIR Vacancy Sensors

Contrary to occupancy sensors, vacancy sensors can only automatically turn the lights off. The lights need to be manually turned on when the person enters the room. PIR vacancy sensors keep the lights on as long as the sensor detects motion. As soon as no activity is detected the switch will turn the light off after a set time delay. Vacancy sensors can be installed in large offices where the lights on most of the day and are only turned off once everyone has left. These manual on/auto off motion sensors are also preferable for rooms with plenty of natural daylight because the lights don't need to turn on when someone comes in during the day.
