PIR Occupancy Sensors

Occupancy sensors have the ability to automatically turn the lights on when it detects motion and turn it off after a set period of time or no movement detected. Using PIR technology with occupancy sensors is common for rooms that people go in and out of and where lights don't stay on for long. Examples of these are stairwells, restrooms, garages and conference rooms. PIR occupancy sensors might be triggered accidentally by heat if they are in direct path of sunlight. Auto on/auto off motion sensors are energy efficient alternatives to regular wall switches by making lights operational only when the room is occupied.
